Viper Motorcycles gets EPA certification
December 20th, 2008
Riders looking for an American made cruiser that promises hand-built performance can look to Viper Motorcycle Company."We have received our EPA certificate and have successfully completed our CARB testing for approval in all 50 states," John Silseth II, Viper Powersports CEO, stated. "During testing, we knew the Viper 152 inch short stroke motor was clean and produced less heat than our competitors and we are excited at the opportunity to move forward fully compliant. The 2009 Diamondback is in production this month and will begin shipping in early 2009." According to Terry Nesbitt, Viper Motorcycle Company President, "We are 8 years into this project and are ready to take our place as an OEM. The Diamondback 152 Super Cruiser is the only production cruiser designed and manufactured in-house in its entirety utilizing proprietary component parts distinctive to the Viper brand." Viper Powersports designs, produces and markets a line of premium custom V-Twin cruiser motorcycles, V-Twin aftermarket engines and other related aftermarket products. Viper cruisers are distributed and sold under the Viper brand name through an independent, nationwide dealer network. The company designs and manufactures custom motorcycles, accessories and motorcycle engine component parts with patented technology using Computer Aided Design (CAD). Many of the motorcycle and motorcycle engine component parts are machined from solid billets of aluminum utilizing Computer-Numerical-Control (CNC) machines. The company's Diamondback model was featured in the May issue of American Ironhorse. In the review, Joe Knezevic, Managing Editor, "American Iron Magazine," is quoted as stating, "All I can say is that this engine is impressive, especially since it is a production motor and not a custom-built one-off. Simply put, Viper's engineers have done a wonderful job with this proprietary engine, and this is the only production bike I know of that comes with such a big heart." Viper motorcycles are hand-built with many of the component parts are billet aluminum, machined in-house and use distinctive patented technology. The manufacturer makes a Diablo line of motorcycles as well as the Diamondback.
